Emailing Chinese university admissions in 2027: a practical guide

Updated 23 October 2026 · Redream Team

A useful admissions email makes your situation and question easy to understand. State your programme, intended intake and current qualification. This guide helps Moroccan students request clarification without sending an entire application unnecessarily.

The answer in 30 seconds

  • Read the admissions guide before contacting the relevant office.
  • Include the programme, intake and application reference.
  • Ask specific questions not answered by the instructions.
  • Keep the email thread and follow any published response timeline.

When should you email?

Email to clarify a requirement, ask about an alternative document or report a portal problem. First check published information such as fees and deadlines, noting the guide’s date.

If two official pages conflict, include both links and ask which applies to your programme. A specific question is easier to answer than a broad request about studying in China.

Choose the correct office

International admissions generally handles application questions, while detailed course questions may belong to the department. Research supervision has a different purpose; see our supervisor guide.

Find the contact on the university website. Where possible, use the email linked to your application and include its reference number. An address forwarded in a group may be outdated.

Structure the message

Use a subject containing the programme, intake and question. Introduce your country and qualification briefly, then ask two or three focused questions. Retain the official name of your qualification and check translated terms carefully.

Use a language accepted by the office. English may be practical when the guidance is in English, but follow the contact instructions provided.

An adaptable email template

Subject: [Programme name] — 2027 entry — Application document question

Dear Admissions Team, I am a Moroccan student currently completing [qualification]. I am interested in [programme name], taught in [language]. After reading your guide at [link], I would like to confirm whether [document] is accepted at the application stage and when the final version is required. My application number, if applicable, is [number]. Thank you for your assistance. Kind regards, [name].

Replace every bracketed field with accurate information. Remove questions already answered in the guide. This is an enquiry template, not an application submission.

Attachments and follow-up

Attach only what explains the issue or what the university requests. For technical problems, hide unrelated personal details in screenshots. Never share passwords or verification codes. Use our document checklist for preparation.

Respect any published response time. If none is given, a polite follow-up after several working days is an organisational suggestion, not an official rule. Reply within the same thread and identify any approaching deadline accurately.

Keep checking the application portal

Emailing documents does not complete an application unless the university explicitly says so. The Xiamen 2027 guide asks applicants to monitor the portal and email; follow your own university’s instructions.

Record the answer and next action in your application tracker. Keep written confirmation of any exception and establish what it covers.

Frequently asked questions

Should I email several offices together? A tailored message to the relevant contact is clearer.

Does no reply mean rejection? No. Check the portal and approved communication channel.

Should I attach my passport immediately? Not for a general enquiry; provide requested documents when needed.
