Documents to Study in China in 2027: A Checklist for Moroccan Students

Updated 7 October 2026 · Redream editorial team

The 30-second answer

  • Start with identity, qualifications, transcripts and language evidence, then check your programme and scholarship lists.
  • There is no universal checklist: the official guide for your intended intake controls the requirements.
  • Check translation, validity and upload format before submission, and keep the final application copy.

Which documents do you need to study in China in 2027?

The documents to study in China in 2027 depend on your intended degree, subject and teaching language. A Moroccan baccalaureate holder needs a different preparation process from a master’s or PhD applicant. A scholarship may add a separate set of requirements.

Use this guide to organise your work, not as a universal admissions checklist. Some 2027 guides are already available; where an earlier campaign is used as an example, its year is stated explicitly.

Your document checklist: what to check

Mark each item required, not required or awaiting confirmation. Check relevance before paying for an additional translation.

Bachelor's, master's and PhD applications differ

After the baccalaureate, organise your secondary-school records and the entry conditions for your target degree. A university’s master’s document list is not its bachelor’s checklist.

For example, the Tsinghua SIGS 2027 graduate announcement includes degree and authentication, transcript, language evidence, references, a personal statement and passport. That list describes its own route, rather than every Chinese programme.

For a PhD, connect the proposed research with the programme’s actual scope. Check separately whether a supervisor’s agreement is required and how it fits into the formal admissions process.

Can you apply before your final diploma is issued?

The Tsinghua 2027 graduate guide allows expected-graduation evidence for applicants still studying, with final documents due under its rules before registration. Do not assume another institution uses the same process.

Ask your Moroccan institution which official evidence it can issue now. Track outstanding documents and when they will become available. Describe your status accurately: a degree still in progress should not be presented as already awarded.

Translations and upload quality

A French-language document is not automatically accepted everywhere. The cited Tsinghua 2027 guide requires originals with notarised English or Chinese translations where needed, and colour scans rather than phone photographs. These are institutional requirements, not universal technical rules.

Open every file before uploading. Are names, grades and stamps legible? Are all pages present and in order? Check the portal’s file-size and format limits. Use clear filenames such as Transcript_Name_2027.pdf, and keep one identifiable final version rather than several conflicting copies.

Time-sensitive documents and scholarship applications

Plan documents whose timing matters. The BLCU 2026 Chinese Government Scholarship Type A guide includes validity or recent-issuance conditions for medical and criminal-record documents. Confirm your 2027 instructions before scheduling those steps.

If applying for funding, keep separate university and scholarship checklists. Record each authority’s instructions, deadline and submission status. A complete university application does not establish that the funding application has also been submitted.

Five checks before you finish

  1. Match identity, passport and programme information across forms and documents.
  2. Reopen uploaded files inside the portal where possible.
  3. Check references and any documents another person must submit.
  4. Confirm the application is submitted, rather than saved as a draft.
  5. Keep the application number, submission receipt and final document set.

A simple tracker with university, programme, document, status, official source and deadline makes unfinished tasks visible. After submission, monitor institutional messages and respond to genuine requests through the official application channel.

Build some time into your personal schedule for corrections. This is a planning recommendation, not permission to miss an official deadline or submit a required item late.

Frequently asked questions

Is the checklist identical for every Chinese university?

No. It varies by level, course, teaching language and funding route. Use this guide to prepare, then follow the programme's official list.

Are French-language documents enough?

Check the accepted language and required translation or certification process before preparing the final submission.

Do bachelor's applicants need recommendation letters?

It depends on the programme. Do not automatically apply a master's requirement to an undergraduate application.

Is this the same as a visa document checklist?

Treat the processes separately. This article covers university applications; check the relevant official visa instructions after admission.

When should I start preparing for 2027?

Start by organising available records and identifying gaps. Schedule tests and time-sensitive documents around the official deadlines for your programme.
