A university logo or a stamped letter is not enough to confirm admission or funding. Before sending documents or paying, check the offer through an independent official channel. This guide gives Moroccan students and families a practical verification process.
The answer in 30 seconds
- Contact admissions using details on the official university website.
- Separate admission, scholarship decisions and application support.
- Get funding, fees and refund conditions in writing.
- Keep control of your accounts and retain messages and receipts.
Start with the issuer and programme
Record the university’s full name, degree, subject, teaching language, campus and intake. Visit its website yourself and locate international admissions. A familiar logo or similar-looking web address does not establish authenticity.
Ask whether the document was issued by the university, quoting your application number. Use contact details on the official website rather than relying only on the message. Do not post your passport publicly to ask others to check an offer.
Separate the different stages
An application receipt does not mean acceptance. Conditional admission still has requirements to fulfil. Academic admission does not automatically include funding. An administrative support service cannot make the university’s decision.
Read our conditional offer guide. If a message says funding is pending or an offer is provisional, ask who makes the final decision and which document confirms it.
Check each funding item
Ask whether tuition, accommodation, insurance and a living allowance are covered, for how long and under which renewal conditions. Identify costs left to the student. Check separately whether a language or foundation year receives the same funding.
Do not base the family budget on an unconfirmed allowance. Find out which payments are due before the scholarship result and whether written refund conditions apply.
Clarify fees and support services
Request a written service description covering tasks, stages, price and cancellation conditions. Keep university charges separate from support fees. Retain invoices and payment evidence; request an explanation if the payment recipient differs from the named organisation.
An official Chinese embassy notice warns that CSC does not entrust individual intermediaries to process its scholarship applicants. Only that general warning is cited; the Fiji-specific dates and eligibility rules do not apply to Moroccan students.
Know when to pause
Pressure to pay immediately, guaranteed funding before review, refusal to identify the university, or requests for email passwords and verification codes require further checks. One warning sign is not proof of fraud, but it warrants independent confirmation.
Keep original messages, documents and transaction records. Do not send extra money solely because someone promises a faster decision. Ask the university to confirm the relevant information.
